The kids' sandbox is an old washing tub filled with sand and an ever mutiplying tribe of "sandbox stuff" -- this weekend we cleaned it up and filled it with new sand, and moved it closer to the kitchen door, so I can keep an eye on those two (and intercept any attempts at eating sand by Anna.)

I have one :) It used to be used as F's pool in the garden but now it's used to store things. I shall buy some playsand for it!
We used the tub as a pool too, during Mirthe's first summer. Then we redid the whole backyard, so there wasn't anything -- no pool, no sandbox, nothing -- just piles of dirt and bricks. (Mirthe loved that just as much.) Last year was the first year that we used the tub as a sandbox.
You do have to drill holes in the bottom, to let the water out. (Blasted Dutch weather.) I forgot to do that, and it soon became a mini-beach -- sand with about two inches of water on the surface. Which was fine by Mirthe -- but I wasn't so thrilled :-)
