That sand you seen strewn all over is not from the kids, but from Eric. He read somewhere (or saw on television, that's more likely) that sand is good (?????) for your grass, it helps it breathe. So he threw sand all over. I think they meant that you're supposed to sift the sand over the grass, with one of those sifty things from the sandbox (we have three, how is that possible? I swear those things reproduce overnight.) Anyway, it's not something he's going to repeat soon I think. The grass does not appear to be breathing better, and Eric's got bigger problems.
We have a MOLE! (Or a wool mouse -- in Dutch it's wolmuis, in English it's probably something else, or a mole.) Does anyone have tips on how to humanely get rid of it, because the poor man is obsessed. I'm afraid to come home one day, and see a little mole head on a spike on the fence.
