We had a simple dinner of quiche and salads (fruit and cucumber) and fish sticks in the shape of starfish and dolphins and anchors, if you like that kind of thing :-) And ice cream, with warm chocolate sauce, made from melted leftover chocolate letters we still had from Sinterklaas. (I know! I still can't believe we had leftovers.)

After dinner we had coffee and cookies and chocolate bonbons, all the way from Maine.

And then there was this: but that cleaned up quickly (I ran the dishwasher three times on Boxing Day!) and before I knew it, the kids had crashed and gone to bed, and the house was quiet and clean again.
