these photos are amazing! it's a ploy to try to get us to come live there isn't it.:) it certainly makes me miss you -and it brings lots of memories rushing back- -i spent a good deal of the morning looking at the photos. is this someone you know or someone you found? thank you for the amazing link!
No, San, I don't know him -- found the link on a Swedish illustrator's blog (I think -- don't remember really where I was, got there via Camilla Engman's blog)
The kids are staying surprisingly calm. Accepting it when I say, we can't set the shoe (you set your shoe, with a drawing for Sinterklaas and a carrot and a bowl fo water for his horse, by the front door, hoping he'll stop by at night and fill it with a little present or spice cookies or a chocolade coin) because all the carrots are up, or it's "Sinterklaas-weekend" so he has a few days off, etc.
Anna is not yet two but she totally grasps the concept of setting your shoe -- morning, noon and night, she'll set her slipper by the door with a drawing (scribbles) she's made, sing "Klaasse Bonne bonne" (the only line she knows) and then quickly shut the door. She'll wait like two seconds and then check if he's been by :-)
This week they both got dress up high heels -- and have been clikkety clakking their way around the house since. Wednesday I had such a headache from their "heels" on the hardwoods floors that I banished them (the shoes, not the kids) to the top of the bookcase for an afternoon. Evil Mommy!

Geert komt ook uit Amersfoort toch?
Weet ik niet... Kwam de site gisteren tegen en vond de foto's fantastisch. Ken je hem van ergens anders?
