The Fine Art of Eating Red Food: Part Two
Anna has mastered spaghetti and strawberries (with a fork, although she still likes to crush them in her hand and then smear them all over her face. But that's only if she's had enough.)So earlier this week we decided to let Anna eat her tomato soup herself, instead of feeding her as we usually do. Our usual soup method is: lots of little bits of French bread in the soup, so that it's not so liquidy and easier to get in her mouth. Anna decided to put most of the soup ON the bread, and then scoop up whatever was left in her bowl. You can see here that she uses both hands while she eats, but holds the spoon in her erb's palsy hand. We're so glad she's actively using that hand/arm, and not ignoring it. She really is her own best physical therapist!
